I am seeing a lot of people cancelling their Health Insurance or other Health Share memberships to join Zion HealthShare. But why? In this blog post, I am going to dive into why so many people are deciding to join Zion HealthShare.
Who is Zion HealthShare?
Zion HealthShare is a non-profit non-religious Health Share that was founded in January 2019. Zion HealthShare is a community of like-minded people that is built around healthy living, inclusivity, and personal responsibility.
While they are one of the newer Health Share organizations out there, more and more people are deciding to join Zion HealthShare after seeing what is included in the membership and reading the reviews from other members.
Why People are Choosing to Join Zion HealthShare
Secular Health Share
Members can work with providers of their choice – without network restrictions.
Zion HealthShare accepts members of all faiths. They are a community of individuals who strive to live a healthy lifestyle and want to share in the costs of one another’s medical burdens. With a healthier community of members, this helps keep costs down for everyone.
Because Zion HealthShare is secular, or non-religious, everyone who is young (under 65 years old) and healthy is able to join. This definitely sets Zion HealthShare apart from other Health Share memberships that only allow certain faiths to join. Whether you are religious or not, you can enjoy the benefits of joining Zion HealthShare.
Quick Turnaround on Paying for Medical Bills
Zion HealthShare is also known for sharing (or paying for) medical bills quickly. There are plenty of Zion HealthShare reviews with Members sharing how they are getting their scheduled surgeries paid for the same day of their surgery, or they have everything paid for quickly after their itemized bills were submitted to Zion HealthShare.
For me personally, I recently submitted my first sharing request to Zion HealthShare and within just 2 1/2 weeks my reimbursement check was in my mailbox. At Zion HealthShare, you get your (eligible) medical bills paid quickly, which makes for a less stressful situation for their members.
Family Friendly
Zion HealthShare’s Family membership does not cost extra for additional children. Whether you have two children or ten – the cost is the same to you.
Zion HealthShare also has great maternity shared services. Members first pay their IUA (the amount they choose to pay before the community shares in medical expenses). Afterward, 100% of your eligible maternity shared services will be shared.
Preventive Sharing
Immediately after becoming a member, Zion HealthShare will share in Annual provider visits. After six months of membership, Zion HealthShare will share in colonoscopy, mammogram, and youth immunizations (up to 18 years old).
No Lifetime Caps or Limitations
Zion HealthShare does not have annual or lifetime caps on eligible need requests. This gives people peace of mind if very large medical expenses come up, they are not capped.
Pre-Membership Conditions Shared After One Year
Zion HealthShare allows people with pre-membership conditions to join the health share – rather than denying them. Instead, they offer a waiting period for pre-membership conditions and a phase-in of sharing in these pre-membership conditions.
Save Money
Zion HealthShare members typically save 30-60% off of traditional Health Insurance. When compared to other Health Share memberships, they offer the most value for the price.
Nationwide and Worldwide Sharing
Zion HealthShare is a Nationwide HealthShare, so you can live anywhere in the United States and become a member. Zion HealthShare will share into acute medical costs incurred the United States.

Health shares are not insurance and do not offer insurance coverage. Membership in a health share does not guarantee the payment or reimbursement of medical expenses. Each organization operates under its own membership guidelines, which determine what expenses may be eligible for sharing.
