Is Zion HealthShare connected or associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also known as “LDS” or “Mormon” church? Is Zion HealthShare only for Mormons?
Zion HealthShare is not at all associated with the Mormon church – or any church for that matter.
Zion HealthShare is a non-profit Health Share organization, which provides a simple and effective way for members to share in each other’s medical burdens. While the concept of Health Sharing began with biblical principals in mind, Zion HealthShare is a secular Health Share that has no religious requirements in order to join them.
Zion HealthShare is located in Utah, which is probably why people think that there is a religious connection, but there isn’t. In fact, I couldn’t find a single mention of any specific church or religion on their website. They welcome all who want to join and be a part of their community.

Health shares are not insurance and do not offer insurance coverage. Membership in a health share does not guarantee the payment or reimbursement of medical expenses. Each organization operates under its own membership guidelines, which determine what expenses may be eligible for sharing. This publication is for informational purposes only and is not provided by an insurance company. For state-specific notices and full program details, please visit the respective health share’s official website.
