What is Considered a Pre-Existing Condition?
Altrua HealthShare defines a pre-existing condition as an illness or medical condition for which you have received medical advice or treatment at any time during the ten-year look back period preceding your membership effective date that would result in a two-year, five-year or lifetime limitation.
Altrua HealthShares states that “if the need is related to a pre-existing condition or limitation, it is unlikely it will be eligible for sharing.”
